Update from Boston

Boston Update

Dear Friend,

The Boston Marathon brings hundreds of thousands of runners and travelers from around the world to Boston. Monday, the Boston hostel was completely full and accommodating dozens of runners and their family and friends.

The explosions at the finish line of the Boston Marathon were cruel and tragic. The Boston hostel is approximately one mile from the finish line.

The hostel staff has been absolutely terrific during this difficult time. They have risen to the challenge to accommodate guests who are shocked and concerned. Pizza was provided for all guests, and people displaced by the explosions were welcomed to stay at the Hostel. The Boston Hostel will continue to offer shelter and assistance to people displaced by Monday's events.

While many guests left Tuesday, they expressed their appreciation of the warmth and comfort of the hostel, especially during this tragic event.

Numerous emails are coming from around the world to the hostel wishing well for staff and guests. We appreciate the thoughts and prayers sent to us from all the HI family.

Thank you,
