What to know about trips to Hawaii as COVID-19 emergency order is extended through November

Hawaii has extended its statewide COVID-19 emergency order. The measure, which was introduced in March 2020 as part of efforts to halt the spread of coronavirus, includes continuing capacity limits on restaurants, bars and gatherings, and continuing to require people to wear masks in indoor public spaces.

Governor David Ige said that although Hawaii is making great strides in its vaccination campaign, Delta-driven infections are increasing at "an alarming rate", with the highly-infectious strain of COVID-19 "responsible for nearly all of the disease spread" in Hawaii.
