Between soaring demand, staffing issues and airline kerfuffles in the United States and labor strikes in Europe, summer air travel for 2023 is already forecast to be a repeat of the hectic 2022 summer.
Add in the stunning costs of airfares this summer and you may be questioning whether you want to travel by air during peak season.
If the cost has already priced you out of a summer trip, you’d prefer to avoid the crowds and you're flexible, this is the perfect time to start planning for my favorite time to travel: shoulder season. I always look to travel sometime between September and November. The weather is pleasant in most places around the world plus, it’s prime time to snag a great deal on flights, hotels and all the other wonderful things you experience while traveling.
By the way, if you want to know why fares are so high this summer, our friend Clint Henderson over at The Points Guy kindly broke it down for you in our latest Help Me, LP!
