This week we are totally excited about the 2023 annular solar eclipse. Our very own Laura Motta is outside Keystone, Nevada (follow her on Instagram) to view the celestial event, and we’ve spent the past few weeks at the office singing “Total Eclipse of Heart” and “Ring of Fire” at each other in anticipation. Don’t burn your eyes out, Laura!
This eclipse trip has me thinking about how fun it is to book travel around major (or minor) events, whether it's jetting to Melbourne to catch the Australian Open, planning a trip to London to see a famous actor perform in a play, or going to Paris for the Olympics.
Watch this space for more fun planning and trip ideas for the end of this year and into 2024 (spoiler: another major eclipse is coming in April), and make sure you’ve signed up for a free Lonely Planet account to keep all your travel plans organized.
Happy trails.
